Finally, the January exams have come to an end.  No matter how it is, that’s it, it's all become history. It’s time for “blogging”!

I am pretty honoured to be here to share my life with all the people.  I am Shiny, a simple boy from the South China, who is studying A2 in Bellerbys College at the moment.

People always ask me why I call myself Shiny.  Some people may think that because I am shy.  I agree with them to some extent, but virtually, I use this name since there is a classmate who was born on the same day, same month and the same year as me.  Her name is Sunny.  Don’t you find it magical? The names Sunny and Shiny both have 5 letters and they demonstrate almost the same meaning for two people who came to the same class by destiny.  Cherishing the destiny is crucial to me, that’s why I named the Poetry Circle I set up “Cheristiny”.

More over, Shiny represents my characteristics.  I can’t say I am absolutely optimistic, but the thing is I usually send my best smile to everyone I meet. Smiling is a contagious disease which may spread incredibly fast, therefore, another nickname of me is Smily which you can’t possibly find in a dictionary since it was just miscalled by my friends.

Besides that, the name BB has accompanied me for ages since primary school time.  Therefore, you may call me whichever you like above.  Any name will do.

I come from a small city near Guangzhou.  After graduating from the Affiliated High School of SCNU (which we call HuaFu in Chinese), I made up my mind to study in the UK.  I like experiencing diverse cultures and meeting new people.  I really believe that studying in the UK has broadened my horizon.

As far as the geographical condition of Brighton is concerned, it is great fun living here.  Although it is sometimes a bit rainy and gusty, the beautiful scenery of the beach can feast your eyes and release your mind.

It is extremely important that you choose a place you like to spend couple of years of your life.  Some people preferred to study in the north, but then they realize that living in the south is even better.  It is neither too cold nor too hot living here.  The temperature stays around 10 degree Celsius all the year round.

Several students who have gone to university told us that they really wished they could return to the life in Bellerbys since we can not only study, but also enjoy the spare time walking around the city, playing in the Pier or go shopping and so on.  As for me, I indeed like window shopping.  Do notice that, some cities may not have as many chances for entertainment as those here.

As a mountainous city, Brighton offers us plenty of time hiking around which is very good for our health.  Furthermore, Britain is a wonderland for eating.  Honestly speaking, I am not an expert on eating, but I am pretty sure that you can always find a restaurant you like here.  Chinese food, Italian food, Japanese food, Thai food can be found around the city.

As regard to me, what I like best are the kind-hearted people here.  It is said that, “Love me, love my dog.”  One of the reason I like Bellerbys is that I love my teachers.  Fortunate enough, we have teachers such as Dr. Butcher, who is responsible, knowledgeable and irreplaceable to students. Whatever questions we try to ask him, he is always trying to help us using his vast knowledge with patience.

Mr. Bowen who is an intelligent and humorous economics teacher as well as a perfect politician usually makes the lessons amusing by adding many personalized stories inside.  Listening to his lessons is never boring and meanwhile we acquired the skills of critical thinking.

Mr. Dixon and Dr. Cameron, who are another two outstanding clerisies, accelerate the speed of our brain everyday.

Mr. Stephenson, who usually tries to support me when I am in need, also filled me with joy by giving me millions of chances to take part in an awful lot of student activities.  And I am luckily selected to be a representative of college to go to Italy to communicate with students there.  I am really looking forward to the trip.  Life should always be beautiful.
